Bi-Steel
Southgate
Installed - November 2005
Corefast was specified for a Scottish residential developer’s largest-ever project, the exciting Southgate scheme in Glasgow, comprising 335 apartments. Corefast helped speed up construction on site as the contractor benefited from the accuracy of the pre-installed fixings enabling rapid connections to be made to the steel frame.

In the first phase of the Southgate project, which consisted of two blocks of six and seven storeys, four Corefast cores were installed in just four working days.
The project team was particularly impressed by the accuracy of Corefast’s off-site component manufacture, which delivered plumb lift shafts, with all the doors and service openings pre-cut off site.
By selecting Corefast, the contractor was able to construct the cores with minimum disruption and benefited from a faster build sequence.
