St Paul's Square, Liverpool
Installed - February 2007
Corefast enabled Shepherd Construction to save 21 weeks on a 105-week programme at its St Paul’s Square, Liverpool development. Its use reduced the number of tower cranes required on site from two to one and delivered significant cost savings.

Corus’ rapid erect modular Bi-Steel building core system was specified for the lift/stair cores in the striking 17,000m², eight-storey office building which is part of phase two in this city-centre mixed use development scheme.
The construction programme was reduced from the originally estimated 105 weeks using a traditional core construction technique to 84 weeks using Corefast.
In addition, by selecting Corefast only one tower crane was required instead of the two specified in the original design, and due to Corefast’s stiffness and rigidity the number of structural cores needed was reduced from five to three - providing significant cost savings.
