Structural Steel Design Awards
The objective of the Structural Steel Design Awards is to celebrate the excellence of the United Kingdom in the field of steel construction, particularly demonstrating its potential in terms of efficiency, cost effectiveness, aesthetics, sustainability and innovation.
Successful projects are expected to have a minimum threshold of excellence in architectural and engineering terms and to be cost effective.

SSDA 2008
The 2008 SSDA Awards recognise the high standards of structural and architectural design attainable in the use of steel and its potential in terms of efficiency, cost effectiveness, aesthetics and innovation - rewarding outstanding projects to stand as an example to others.

SSDA 2007
The winners of the 2007 Structural Steel Design Awards were presented with their Awards at a ceremony held at Old Billingsgate, London, yesterday (19 June). Judging was by an independent panel appointed by joint sponsors the British Constructional Steelwork Association and Corus.

SSDA 2006
Judges of the 2006 Structural Steel Design Awards were repeatedly impressed by the project vision, the structural concepts and the quality of execution of the entries.

SSDA 2005
The 37th annual structural steel design awards have been presented to an unusually wide range of structures, from a private house in London to the huge tonnages involved in a steel works extension.
