TSLAB

TSLAB is software to be used in conjunction with the Steel Construction Institute’s publication SCI P288: Fire Safe Design: A New Approach to Multi-Storey Steel-Framed Buildings (Second edition).  The software calculates the load bearing capacity of composite slabs in fire using a method.  The use of the software is described in the publication and the use of the software without reference to the publication is not recommended.

The program is written in Excel and uses a VBA macro.  Macros must be enabled for the program to run; SCI recommend that macro security is set to medium.

The Excel file has been password protected to enable users to write in selected areas only.  The VBA macro is also protected.  The Excel file is supplied as “Read Only”.  It is recommended that the “Read Only” status is not changed.
