You take Iron Ore, Coke and Limestone and put it into the top of a blast furnace.... Blast air at it until it’s very hot... White hot in fact. And out the bottom you get ... Molten iron the base material from which steel is made!

What happens to steel between manufacture and final delivery to a construction project site. Steel fabricators transform basic sections into fabricated beams and columns for erection on site.
Construction
The versatility of steel ensures that it is used in many applications. In this module, we will consider two forms of construction – multi-storey buildings and industrial sheds. The construction techniques shown are representative of steel construction and can be used by the designer for any construction application
